Fitness has always been a part of my life, but like many, I lost my way as the years went by. Here’s my story, and why I’m passionate about helping you find your path to health and wellness. My Journey From my early days as a school athlete, fitness was my world. But adulthood brought challenges – career, family, and the daily grind. I found myself out of shape and struggling to keep up with my young kids. Realizing I needed to change, not just for me but for my family, I took a leap. I earned my certifications in personal training, nutrition, and strength and conditioning from ISSA. This wasn’t just about gaining knowledge; it was about reclaiming my life and setting an example for my kids. Overcoming Obstacles The journey wasn’t easy. Balancing family, work, and personal commitments was tough. But I learned the power of communication and support. Sharing my goals with my family made a world of difference. They kept me accountable and motivated. And finding a comfortable space to work out – my home – was a game-changer. It became my sanctuary where I could build confidence and push my limits. Milestones and Achievements Through dedication and persistence, I’ve achieved significant milestones. I’ve built a healthier relationship with food, understanding it as fuel. I’ve learned the importance of self-care and continuously work towards my fitness and racing goals. But the most rewarding achievement? Seeing my progress and knowing I can inspire others. Coaching Experience My passion for coaching started on the track field. As a High School Track & Field coach, I found joy in tailoring workouts, motivating young athletes, and celebrating their successes. This passion carried over to my career in retail and sales, where I coached and mentored teams. Now, as a certified personal trainer, I’m excited to bring this experience to you, helping you achieve your fitness goals with personalized, effective plans. Life and Career Originally from Ohio, I now call Greenfield, IN home. My journey took me from a Track & Field scholarship at Ohio University to a successful career in retail and sales. Along the way, I discovered that my true passion lies in coaching and mentoring. I believe in the power of experiences over formal degrees, and I’m committed to using my journey to help others. Why I Became a Personal Trainer I became a personal trainer to learn the best methods for my fitness journey. With so many options out there, I wanted to create effective programs that truly work. Seeing my own transformation and hearing positive feedback from others motivated me to share my knowledge. I’m dedicated to providing exceptional, affordable fitness coaching that’s tailored to your unique needs. Family Life I’ve been married to my amazing wife since August 2012, and we have four wonderful children aged 10, 8, 6, and 4. We live on a small hobby farm, growing fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers, with chickens for fresh eggs and goats for a touch of fun. My family is my inspiration, and I strive to lead by example in fitness and nutrition. Leading by Example As a father, I believe in leading by example. It’s important to know what we’re putting into our bodies and how it affects us. While it’s a challenge to get everyone on board, staying active helps me keep up with my kids and enjoy their childhood. I want to show them that fitness is not just a routine but a lifestyle. My Fitness Habits My fitness routine is simple but effective. I follow a balanced schedule that includes: Early to bed, early to wake. A clean diet: no candy or soda, black coffee, high protein, good carbs, whole foods, and minimal processed foods. Varied training: cardio (I love running), bodyweight exercises, kettlebell routines, dumbbells, and resistance band training. Balancing It All Balancing personal fitness with coaching and family life is challenging but rewarding. My commitment to coaching keeps me true to my fitness goals, and maintaining a high activity level allows me to be there for my family.
